Passionate followers of the actress are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Several supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another message on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, winning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
